Overview

imageOmania ("we", "us", "our") is a personal creative portfolio and image search platform operated by Shailendra Mourya. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit imageOmania, how we use it, and what choices you have.

We are committed to handling your data responsibly. This site is primarily a read-only experience — you can search for images and browse designs without creating an account or providing any personal information.

Short version: We don't sell your data. We don't build profiles. The only personal information we receive is what you voluntarily submit through our contact or collaboration forms.

Data we collect

We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to operate the site:

  • Contact form submissions — name, email address, subject, and message content when you voluntarily fill in the contact form.
  • Collaboration form submissions — name, email address, portfolio URL, description, and category when you submit a designer collaboration request.
  • Search queries — search terms you enter on the Search page are sent directly to the Unsplash and Lexica APIs. We do not store these queries ourselves.
  • Usage data — standard server and CDN logs may record your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is handled by Vercel (our hosting provider) and is not under our direct control.

We do not collect payment information, run advertising trackers, or use third-party analytics such as Google Analytics.

How we use it

Information you provide is used solely to:

  • Respond to your contact or collaboration enquiry
  • Review and potentially showcase your submitted design work
  • Send occasional updates if you opted in via the newsletter checkbox

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling, or any purpose beyond responding to your direct request.

Third-party services

This site integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy which governs how they handle data.

Pinterest integration

imageOmania uses the Pinterest API to display pins from the owner's personal Pinterest boards on the Designs page. This integration:

  • Reads pins only from the site owner's own Pinterest account
  • Does not access any visitor's Pinterest data
  • Does not post, like, or interact with Pinterest on behalf of visitors
  • Does not require visitors to have or connect a Pinterest account

Pin images and metadata fetched from Pinterest are displayed solely for the purpose of showcasing the owner's creative work. See Pinterest's Privacy Policy for how Pinterest handles data.

Cookies

This site does not set any first-party cookies. Third-party services (Google Fonts, Cloudflare CDN, Vercel) may set their own cookies or use local storage as part of their normal operation. These are outside our control.

The site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or retargeting scripts.

Your rights

If you have submitted data through one of our forms, you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Request that we delete your data
  • Withdraw consent for newsletter communications at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in the Contact section below. We will respond within 30 days.

Data retention

Form submissions are retained in Formspree's system for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months unless you have opted in to newsletter communications. You can request deletion at any time.

Children's privacy

imageOmania is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will not make material changes that reduce your privacy rights without providing reasonable notice.
